Water pressure test, WD test, Lugeon test, in which water is injected into a borehole section sealed with 1 or 2 packers. The test is therefore sometimes also referred to as a packer test. Its main field of application is the measurement of water permeability (e.g. for dam construction). The evaluation is carried out by means of curves of absorbed water quantity and injection pressure recorded during the test. Depending on how the test is carried out, a distinction is made between single and double packer tests as well as single and multi-stage tests.
