Potential location suitability for geothermal collectors - federal method: permanent wilting point (PWP)
Definition:
The potential location suitability of geothermal collectors describes the thermal energy stored in the ground / near the surface, which is obtained via heat exchangers (so-called geothermal collectors) and used by heat pumps for heating purposes (ground geothermal energy). The method used to determine the permanent wilting point is uniformly coordinated nationwide and comparable, but in some cases its scaling is somewhat unspecific for Brandenburg site conditions and is less accurate in terms of its predictive quality.
