It comprises analyses of key water quality parameters, such as iron, sulfate, and PTEs (potentially toxic elements). Compiled from historical sources, the digitized dataset has been transformed into a modern geospatial dataset that adheres to the FAIR (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, and Reusable) principles while also being aligned with the INSPIRE framework for geospatial data interoperability. The dataset underwent comprehensive quality control, standardization, and harmonization procedures to achieve this purpose.Die vorgestellten Daten stammen aus dem deutschen Teil der Lausitz und wurden überwiegend zwischen 1950 und 1995 erhoben, wobei einige wenige Datensätze aus der Zeit vor oder nach diesem Zeitraum stammen. Sie umfassen Analysen wichtiger Wasserqualitätsparameter wie Eisen, Sulfat und PTEs (potenziell toxische Elemente). Der aus historischen Quellen zusammengestellte, digitalisierte Datensatz wurde in einen modernen Geodatensatz umgewandelt, der den FAIR-Prinzipien (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, Reusable) entspricht und gleichzeitig auf das INSPIRE-Rahmenwerk für die Interoperabilität von Geodaten abgestimmt ist. In the present dataset, these legacy data have been quality-checked, harmonised, and transformed into a modern geospatial data format to facilitate spatio-temporal analyses and integration with contemporary geoscientific datasets.
