Over recent decades, acidic mining drainage from former mining areas has led to elevated sulfate and iron concentrations in both groundwater and surface waters. The dataset includes surface water samples collected from 13 locations along the shorelines of the Spree, Kleine Spree, Schwarzer Schöps, and Struga streams, all of which drain the post-mining area of the Spreewitz Glacial Channel. Sampling occurred monthly or bimonthly between April 2024 and May 2026. On-site measurements included water temperature, redox potential, pH value and electric conductivity and oxygen concentration. Additionally, laboratory analyses determined the mass concentrations of 35 cations and anions in the water. As the monitoring campaign is ongoing, the dataset will be regularly updated.Der Datensatz enthält 131 Einträge zur Wasserqualität in den Fließgewässern der Spreewitzer Rinne, die sich im südlichen Teil des Sanierungsgebiets des Lausitzer Reviers befindet. In den letzten Jahrzehnten hat die Entstehung und Mobilisierung saurer Grubenwässer in den Kippenbereichen der Bergbauflächen zu erhöhten Sulfat- und Eisenkonzentrationen sowohl im Grundwasser als auch in den Vorflutern geführt. Der Datensatz umfasst Oberflächenwasserproben, die an 13 Standorten entlang der Ufer der Flüsse Spree, Kleine Spree, Schwarzer Schöps und Struga entnommen wurden. Diese Gewässer durchfließen bzw. entwässern das bergbauliche Sanierungsgebiet. Die Probenahmen erfolgten monatlich oder zweimonatlich zwischen April 2024 und Mai 2026. Vor-Ort wurden Wassertemperatur, Redoxpotenzial, pH-Wert, elektrische Leitfähigkeit und Sauerstoffkonzentration bestimmt. Zusätzlich wurden im Labor die Massenkonzentrationen von 35 Kationen und Anionen im Wasser bestimmt.
